How to avoid burnout in your business

Are you feeling overwhelmed in your business and feel the need to take a break?

Have you seen it? The awesome but true Instagram reel going around:
I didn't want to work a 9-5 so I started my own business, now I work 24-7 F****.
While this is so funny, it's often a sad reality for a lot of entrepreneurs who are solo-entrepreneurs: Burnout seems to be a way of life.

There is huge praise going around with gurus encouraging hard work such as Gary Vee, who promotes a lifestyle of working hard.




While working hard is essential many entrepreneurs suffer from burnout, lack of sleep, and stress. This, in turn, damages their morale, focus, and balance within their business.

The truth is you don't need to work that hard because sometimes you're working yourself in the wrong direction.

I hope you by now you know the difference between working on your business vs in your business.


Working on your business is doing things to grow, scale or improve your business without much need of physical demands.This include delgation of your: Time, work, and rest.

Focus is on producing things to work on it's own without any or much  assistances.

Vs.

Working in your business is consists of doing the actual work. This focus is more on producing services yourself rather than with team mates or automations. In turn, more time is spent doing your business than actually growing it. 

This methods trap you within your business.


Having burnout means you're not putting your priorities in their simplest form.

What we mean is you're thinking too large about your project or work. To elevate this you must think of the 80/20 rule.

The truth is less is more. The top 20% must account for the bottom 80%. This is called the 80/20 principle.

Quick tip:

To improve your planning and decrease burnout think of a few things:

  1. Frequency of interaction that's really needed to get the message across with less effort and more impact.

  2. Wow factor in your business

  3. Balance of content creation & business activity

This will help you with burnout and spare you more time to work on your business.
